Oh my gosssshhhh that episode was so Star Trek, it was great. Is it weird that I really intensely like the one where Daniel gets locked up in a mental institution? I wrote a horrible fic about it once. ;D
It’s so different from what’s usually going on, and it’s SO MUCH FUN.
Nooo I love that ep!! Especially since it’s focused on Daniel after SO many episodes in which Daniel just… doesn’t… really have much to do? He’s terribly underused sometimes
I know you know I’m all up in your AO3, reading all your SG-1 fics, right :D
Did you know that the reason for their ‘laziness’ is that eagles, upon seeing a sloth, dive-bomb the tree, flip upside down, and grab the sloth from its branch? Also sloths grow algae in their fur which in rain season turn into green camouflage.
oh, and they can swim both breaststroke and backstroke, but which one they use depends on which way they fall into the water.
Wait, sloths can swim breaststroke and backstroke?
…Are you telling me I’m less mobile than a sloth?
a-melancholy-donkey answered: did you know young sloths are so inept they mistake their own limbs for branches and then fall out of trees
…Man you saved me with that one.
I was this close to telling that anecdote about my taking ten minutes to open the child safety lock on a new bottle of mouth wash only to realize the mouth wash is too acrid for me to actually use (should’ve heeded that child safety lock warning)
Thank you, I’ll finish with the sloth trivia
agentotter said: The important question is, which episode, and how awesome was it?
It’s Urgo (3.16), and I’ve seen it approximately 300 times.
That’s how awesome it is
I just walked into the kitchen, and my first thought was, ‘Now would be a good time to do the dishes’. My second thought was, ‘Now would also be a good time to retreat and watch another episode of SG-1’
Guess which one won
