This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,—
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
King Richard II. Act ii. Sc. 1.
ahem…AND WHAT IN THE FRESH FUCKING HELL IS THIS NOW? I don’t…he’s…in that…*sorry but Mickey has fallen out of her chair and melted into goo; please leave a message*
He has a fucking tear in his eye. I CAN’T WITH THIS MAN.
#yea #punch him #sure
oh look white men are appropriating art, shaming fans and deliberately making people uncomfortable again all the while women remain the crazy ones without boundary.
i’m so fucking sick of this. lazy interviews/talkshows where the highlight is showing a reluctant celebrity/thespian all the ‘embarrassing’ things their fans have done. what the fuck are your producers doing that they can’t think of an interview segment that doesn’t involve humiliation and discomfort on live TV? if this were an actress with a mostly male following this would’ve been harassment, point and simple.
the fact that the media thinks it’s ‘ok’ and ‘funny’ to expose the sexual side of a female-dominated community tells a lot about how women are viewed as a whole: that you are sexualized but your sexuality is a fucking joke that everyone should be entitled to laugh at. not only that but that depictions of male-on-male homosexuality is considered as disgusting/weird. on the other hand female-on-female is awesome and sexxxxxxyy but when it’s a dude on a dude it’s GROSS or SILLY or A RUNNING JOKE.
also no the point is not ‘tom hiddleston knows that not all of his fans are like that’. the point is what society as a collective thinks, what with all this negative exposure on the fandom. and NO it’s not negative ‘because they picked nsfw art’ or art depicting specific kinks. it’s negative because they have already established that the viewers should be shocked, should be disgusted, by cues leading towards that, such as the expression on the host’s face (look at the host’s expression. look at it. like ‘ew hiddleston ur fans r so cray i’d hate to be you rn’) or opening talks regarding the ‘twisted minds of the internet’. that’s called priming, mothertruckers, and that’s what makes the exposure negative. NOT what’s being shown. be enraged by how the media depicts us, not by them picking art you just happen to not like.
don’t say ‘but the artworks doesn’t represent the fandom’. the fandom is not even about ARTWORKS. the fandom is first and foremost a massive collection of thoughts and interest, with various forms of expression, art merely being one of them. the fandom cannot be simplified into a 3-minute segment in a shitty show. there is no single collection of things that could represent the entirety of something so complex, because show a thing and a bunch of someones somewhere who don’t like thing will always feel underrepresented. the minimal amount of thought given to this segment shows how little the media understands that, or in the best case scenario, their disinterest of exposing that. they’re only interested on HOW FUNNY IT IS BECAUSE HURR HURR GURLZ R FUCKING CRAZY AND DUMB AND TWISTED GEDDIT????
no it’s not funny, and you should be fucking offended if you haven’t already.
and don’t get me started on how these dumbasses are plucking and publicizing artworks all willy-nilly without the artists’ consent while taking them wayyy out of context. just. don’t.
This might be the last Marvel carpet for you… like.. ever x
how about you shimmy that ass right off this planet i hATE U /sobs
It seems that Tom’s habit of sitting wide legged has been good for this amazing photoshopper! They call it the Tower of Hiddlebel (translated from portuguese)
